IS YOUR CONDO DIRECTLY ON THE GULF?
Yes, our condo is directly on the gulf. The balcony runs parallel to the beach.
It is NOT a side view, but a full view of the beach and ocean.
HOW OLD DOES ONE HAVE TO BE TO RENT YOUR CONDO?
Turtle Walk strives to be family oriented.
To that end, we try not to rent to anyone less than twenty-five years old.
HOW OLD IS YOUR CONDO?
Turtle Walk complex was built in 1999. Renters first came in 2000.
We bought the condo in March of 2001.
I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THE OKALOOSA ISLAND AREA BEFORE,WHAT IS THE WATER LIKE?
The water is simply beautiful. On most days it has a light emerald color-hence the name "THE EMERALD COAST". On some days (after a storm), the water may be cloudy, but usually it clears up fast. Wave heights vary with weather and season conditions. And, don't forget the sunglasses. The beach is so incredibly white, sunglasses are a must.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS A HURRICANE?
If there is an official hurricane warning during your stay you may leave and receive a refund for the unused portion of your stay. If you choose to remain in the condo, naturally, there would be no refund.
IS THERE AND ELEVATOR AT TURTLE WALK?
There is an elevator. Fortunately, our reserved parking space, which our guests can use, is very close to the elevator . Our condo is located on the second floor, we use the steps mostly.
ARE THERE RESTAURANTS AND GROCERY STORES NEARBY?
Yes, there are several quality restaurants less than five minutes from Turtle Walk. And, of course, Destin is only six minutes or so away, so you can find many more there. See our Food and Fun Page for more information. As for grocery stores, PUBLIX opened a brand new store only about 1 minute, maybe a mile from our condo, in July 2000. A WINN DIXIE MARKETPLACE is about ten minutes away in FORT WALTON BEACH. A convenience store with several items is only a block or two down form our condo.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING (LINENS, POTS AND PANS ETC.)?
The condo is fully furnished. Everything you need is there. We supply bed linens, and bath towels etc.
You will need to bring your beach towels. So pack your clothes and stop by the grocery store and have a great time.
IS THERE A POOL?
Yes, the pool is between Turtle Walk and the beach.
